God gave me the keys to His Kingdom in Nineteen seventy-six (part 13)

By Dr. Jacquelyn Simmons

Scripture: When Jesus came unto the Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disci[ples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, but who say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed this unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shalt be loosed on earth (Matthew 16:13-19).

By this time and after the deliverance of God’s box sermon, Healing Services had begun. It consisted of members from several church denominations which were located throughout the city of Monroe, including Pastors. We NEVER had disagreements or discussions about doctrinal beliefs. We met two times per week-later reduced to one meeting a week after I had been confined to hospitals, a nursing home, and at my God given home. It was quite a struggle but God, caring doctors, nurses, Pastors, church members, families and friends…By God’s Grace and Mercy, this child of God is STILL on this side of His Jordon…My casket and flowers were selected but God must have said not now but later. So, they are tucked somewhere waiting for me to claim and use them or they are beneath the earth being used by someone else.

Various Healing Services members and others were calendared to speak each night on One WORD they had previously selected. It was soooo delightful to hear and see how truly dedicated Christian persons could select and deliver Christian messages they chose from One WORD. It was fascinating to hear and see how we the audience responded to the deliverers. Remembrances still make me teary-eyed.

Dr. Billye Burns, one of my former coworkers, now retired, designed a prayer box in which we placed sealed envelopes with our prayer requests addressed to God. We NEVER opened the envelopes ourselves because we REALIZED that we could not grant any of the requests. After all, they were addressed to God. At the end of each session, the envelopes, unopened by us, were destroyed and as we began a new session..
