Funeral services for a well-known community personality have been set for Saturday.
Graveside services for Doyal Andre McDade will be held Saturday in Delhi, La. with McFarland Funeral Home in charge.
McDade died on October 26th.
His official obituary read as follows:
Doyal Andre McDade was born on September 18, 1953 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the only child born to Mr. Doyal and Mrs. Embra McDade. On Monday evening, October 26, 2020, Doyal quietly answered his Master’s call and entered into eternal rest.
Doyal (affectionately known as Andre) was an outgoing person and loved his fellowman. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Andre continued his education by attending Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM), graduating with a Bachelor of Art in General Studies and a Master’s in Psychology.
Andre accepted Christ at an early age and joined Cloud Creek Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Lumpkin. He later joined with Tabernacle Baptist Church in Monroe under the leadership of Reverend Roosevelt Wright. Andre was an ordained minister and he loved to quote, “I am Blessed,” despite having physical and medical conditions that limited his ability to fulfill some activities that he loved to do. He was truly an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and spending time in the woods.
Andre held several positions of employment, but the area in which he spent most of his professional career as a Director of Services for Individuals with Mental and Physical Disabilities.
He leaves to cherish his memories: four children, Andrea Nicole McDade, Dameian McDade, Andrica L. McDade, and Andrane’ McDade; four grandchildren, Jordan McDade, Jayden McDade, Kennedy McDade, and Mariah McDade; his loving parents, Mr. Doyal and Mrs. Embra McDade, and a host of other relatives and friends that were dear to his heart.
