The Monroe community and radio listeners across the region are mourning the loss of Foster “PPW” Wilhite Jr., a beloved radio personality known as “The Blues Nightmare.” Wilhite passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 75.
Wilhite’s funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Greater Free Gift Baptist Church in Monroe. McFarland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Greater Free Gift Baptist Church.
