Robert Earl Bass, Sr., born December 30, 1957, to the late Jessie and Octavia Payton Bass, was the second of four children and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age at Galilee Baptist Church of Start, Louisiana. Later, he joined New Galilee Baptist Church.
