Several African-American candidates have been re-elected to their positions unopposed.
When qualifying for elections closed last week the following African-American officials were elected without opposition:
Judge Marcus Hunter, 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals District 1
Rev. Harold McCoy, Ouachita School Board, District E.
Betty Ward Cooper, City School Board, District 5
Brandon “B.J.” Johnson, City School Board District 6
