Double graveside service set for mother, son COVID victims

A double graveside service will be held Saturday for a mother and son who fell victim to the COVID virus in Monroe.

  Graveside services for Angela Parson Jackson and her son Micheal Parson will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Richwood Memorial Gardens.

  Mrs. Jackson was employed at G.B. Cooley, and Parson, was a well-known switchboard operator at St. Francis Hospital and Home Depot.

They both died from complications related to COVID 19. They died two days apart. Ernest died on August 1, 2020, and his mother died two days later on August 3, 2020.

  The services are being held by McFarland Funeral Home of Monroe.
