Do not leave Jesus out of the message

By Lisa Wilmore

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

God has given and positioned us to share His message with the world. He has chosen us to be ambassadors for Him in sharing the “Good News”. We are to represent Him everywhere we go and in everything we do.

It is frightening and disturbing that God has granted individuals platforms and places to share the Message of Jesus our Savior, but they never mentioned Him or what He has done for us on the cross. You do know that He could have saved Himself; however, He endured the suffering and pain because of His love for us.

Horrifically, the Chief Priest and Scribes mocked Him doubting that He could save anyone. “The chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save (Mark 15:31). They failed to realize that their sin was on that cross, too. Jesus died on that cross and the penalty for our sin was paid by His death. In order for us to live in the hope that was promised by God, Jesus rose so that we could have life and live eternally. My Friends, that is the “Good News”. That is why we can not “Leave Him out of the Message.” He is the Message

In Acts chapter 2, Peter preached his first sermon, and the same day three thousand souls were saved (Acts 2:41). Yes, about 3,000 people became believers in Jesus Christ. Peter preached Jesus. He did not leave Him out of he Message.

Peter and the other apostles had witnessed the Savior teaching, healing, feeding among other acts. They walked and talked with Him. They were able to speak forthrightly about the events of Christ. In sharing His death and resurrection with others, this caused others to believe and receive Jesus as their Savior. They did not leave Jesus out of the Message. Again, Jesus is the Message.

As we prepare for the Christmas holidays, share the Message of Jesus our Savior. There are so many things we can share in God’s-given platforms, but we must share the truth with people. If you love Him, then, you love people. Help them to understand that God sent His Baby Boy to be the One to save us from our sin. “Do not leave Him out of the Message.” Souls will be saved!

Let us pray: Thank You, God, for the Message of Jesus Christ. As we use Your platforms to share Your Message, open the hearts of people so that they will receive the gift You have freely given. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
