Parents and alumni of Carroll High School gathered Wednesday evening, June 25th, to hear from the three finalists vying for the role of principal at the historic campus. The community forum, sponsored by the Carroll Booster Club and the Monroe Free Press was in the school auditorium, marked a shift in leadership selection—this year, for the first time in recent memory, the public was invited to weigh in.
Prior to the forum Superintendent Rev. Sam Moore, III emphasized the importance of community involvement in the process, noting that past principals were often selected without public input.
“Carroll High belongs to the community,” Moore said. “It’s only right that the voices of those who love and support this school are heard.”
