Christianna “Chris” Donald, a devoted wife, mother, and pediatric cardiology nurse known for her lifelong resilience and deep faith, won her hard-fought battle with cancer on July 1, 2026, at the age of 38.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Chris spent her life defying the odds. Born with hypoplastic right heart syndrome, she underwent multiple open-heart surgeries and overcame the challenges of congenital heart disease. Her personal health battles inspired her lifelong mission to care for others. She went on to graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Tech University and dedicated her career to serving patients just like herself as a pediatric cardiology nurse.
Chris’s life was defined by remarkable victories, both personal and professional. Beyond her medical career, she was married to her husband, Bryan, for 16 years, and together they raised two beautiful children. Her final victory over cancer followed a courageous two-year battle involving numerous therapies.
Her profound faith in God was evident in her extensive service to the community. Chris treasured her young patients as family, mentored pharmacy students for eight years through the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, and spent countless hours assembling “Pencil Granny” packs for Operation Christmas Child to ensure children globally had the supplies to pursue an education. Whether orchestrating global charity efforts or encouraging her family to deliver simple gestures of kindness like coffee and flowers to locals, Chris lived to serve.
Chris is survived by her loving husband, Bryan; her children, Harrison and Ja’Mayrah; her parents, Fred and Debbie; her brother, David (Julie) and his son, Huxley; alongside a large circle of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Gracie and Keren.
