Atmos Energy surprised the audience at the 70th Anniversary of the Carver Library when she showed up with two computers being donated to the branch.
Anne Hayward, manager of Public Affairs of Atmos Energy, had words of praise for the importance of education and praised the branch’s work in the community. At the end of her presentation, she produced two brand new laptops that were donated to the Library from Atmos.
Other presentations included one from Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo, that depicted his picture and four other big city black mayors enshrined on Mt. Rushmore.
