On October 12, 2020, a Monroe Police officer was sent to 1101 Richwood #2 in reference to a stabbing. Upon the officer’s arrival, two victims were located. According to the report, the first victim advised that Laporsche Coleman, the arrestee, had maced her in the face while in a verbal altercation.
The first victim also reported that she was slightly bent over shielding her face from the mace, Coleman stabbed her in the back and the side of her right breast with a kitchen knife. The first victim received minor injuries and refused treatment by Acadian Ambulance Service.
According to the report, the second victim stated that she was injured by Coleman with a knife as she attempted to stop the attack. The second victim received a minor injury to the left wrist. The second victim also refused medical treatment by Acadian Ambulance Service.
