Private businesses have targeted the Lincoln Park neighborhood to begin drug and rehabilitation services, and their Police Juror says it is very little they can do about it.
Rev. Micheal Thompson, who represents District D on the Ouachita Parish Police Jury, says although Lincoln Park residents are upset about the planned opening of a drug rehabilitation center in their subdivision because the parish has no zoning laws, there is very little that can legally be done to stop the development.
