Scripture: O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds, among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works (Psalms105:1, 2).
My friends, it is very painful to note the downward spiral of America from a Christian country to one where anything goes. We are straying further and further away from the statutes God set up for us to follow. The King James Version of the Bible, at one time, could be counted on to give us an accurate account of God’s word. But, due to many so called Christian publishers moving their printing services to foreign soils, people who are not true Bible scholars will not realize that the contents of their Bibles may have been tampered with by people who serve idol Gods. The root cause of moving their companies has to do with money, low wages, lack of insurance benefits, and deplorable working conditions for workers.
Today there are many versions of the Bible in circulation authored by people who have not been inspired by the Holy Spirit. They have interjected their personal interpretations which when challenged by true Bible scholars, do not measure up to the true word of God. In the book of Amos (8:11, 12), we are told that there would be a famine in the land. It would not be for the lack of food or water, but for the hearing of the true word of God. We are also told that it would be sought after, but it would not be found.
That time frame is swiftly hastening toward us. We have consistently gone so far from God until we have converted Thanksgiving Day into a day of partying, overeating, parade watching, and sports entertainments. Because many greedy merchants have chosen to become richer than other merchants, they are forcing their workers to labor in their vineyards which will prevent them from fellowshipping with their families in the traditional manner on Thanksgiving Day. Their children will have to fend for themselves. This means we have generations of children being born who do not know or appreciate the true meaning of Thanksgiving. There will be no more holding hands around the well stocked Thanksgiving table, scripture reading and prayers, testimonial sharing of the goodnesses of God, memory verses reciting, and blessings of the food. Our present generations of children are being denied those experiences which will result in their posterities not knowing about God. We are disobeying him by not teaching our children to thank him for their food before partaking of it. Their parents are forced to work on Sundays also. Oh America, what are you going to do when these children who do not know God become your leaders?
