Solomon Temple honors 2018-19 Graduates

The Solomon Temple Baptist Church honored this year’s graduates with a breakfast and a ceremony, where graduates gave expressions and received gifts for their numerous accomplishments. Graduates from left to right include 1st Lady Virginia Howard, Psy.D. & Th.D. (Psychology and Counseling); Mackeyanna Jones- Neville High school graduate; Mary Hall-ULM, Computer Information Systems; Kennedy Murray, from Child’s Play II Child Care and Development Center to 1st Grade; James White III-Biology, Grambling State University; LaQuinton Collins-General Studies, Southern University; Pastor James Howard Psy.D. & Th.D. (Psychology and Counseling). (Not pictured) is Asia Collins, who graduated from Southern University/Shreveport with an Associate of Science/Human Services Degree. Graduates marched in, led by their Pastor, Rev. Dr. James Howard, and 1st Lady Dr. Virginia Howard. Pastor Howard delivered an explosive sermon from Romans 8:36-37 entitled “In All These Things We Are More Than Conquerors.”

Other students were recognized for their academic achievements during the 2018-2019 school year. These students were: Mackadavis Jones (all A’s all Year), Jaylie White, a ninth-grader and first time ACT test taker, scored a 24, while Hunter, a first-grader at J.S. Clark, received all A’s (4th 9 weeks), and a ring, and two trophies in Soccer. Naylen Gray, a 7th grader at Carroll Jr. High, played football and basketball and received two championship rings for his participation on the two winning teams. Macknificent Jones maintained Principal’s List and Honor Roll all year long, and Mackenzill and Mackeyanna Jones made the honor roll.
