Solomon Temple Back to School Rally inspired many

Students preparing for back to school received advice, supplies and inspiration Saturday during the back to school community rally sponsored by the Solomon Temple Baptist Church.

The rally’s purpose was to motivate students to focus on achievement in the new school year.

Participating in the program were: Zach Thomas, a youth minister from Ruston, who prayed for the safety of the youth.

School supplies were donated by Angrum Neal and Faith, Hope and Love Church, Jared Mayo, Mercedes White, Mary White, laMonica Johnson and Judge Aisha Clark.

Uniforms we Trust donated uniforms. Clothes were donated by Fredricka of TerrenceJ clothing store.

Hair cuts were donated by Theo May of A Kut Above the Rest, Detric James of His and Hers Salon, Dre and Rico of PIBS, Angela of Diva Styled by Angie and Lakeisha Blaylock

Organizations presented included: LOUD, Faith Hope, and Love, Attorney Brandon Brown, DMAC, Wrap Around and Absolute Care, Inc., Donald McNeal of Walk in the Word was the MC for the evening. DJ MAKE A MOVE kept the music going Big Al Cherry of 92.7 fm performed with Maine Maine.
