Funeral services for a mother of three adult children will be held Tuesday in Monroe.
Services for Dewanna P. Jackson, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Greater Free Gift Baptist Church, located at 5510 U.S. Highway 165 Bypass.
Public visitation will take place on Monday, April 28, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the same location.
Mrs. Jackson passed away on April 18, 2025.
Born on March 6, 1953, to Lucille Cullpepper and Cedell Parker, Dewanna lived a life full of grace, devotion, and care for those she loved. She was a wife, mother, sister, and friend whose nurturing spirit and unwavering strength touched the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Ben Norford, Aliel Mohommed, III (also known as Alvin Cullpepper), and Fredrick Parker.
Dewanna leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 47 years, Lester Ray Jackson, Sr.; three sons, Lester Ray Jackson, Jr., of Monroe; Lester Wayne Jackson, Jr. (Sonja), of Monroe; and Patrick Parker (Tina), of Desoto, Texas. She is also survived by two beloved sisters, Donna Rankins Johnson of Monroe and Hester Parker Jones of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, along with a host of other relatives, extended family members, and close friends.
Services will be in the care of McFarland Funeral Homes.
