Police looking for dad who took his newborn from St. Francis in a bookbag

Ouachita Parish sheriff deputies suspect that a new born’s possible father may have kidnapped the infant from a local hospital, leaving the facility undetected with the infant in a bookbag.

It happened at about 11:20 p.m. on October 22nd at the St. Francis Medical Center. Police suspect that Travis Hargrove kidnapped his son, Travis Hargrove, Jr. from the hospital and left with the child in a bookbag.  The infant has a medical condition that will require treatment. He is a dark skin male baby with no hair, 19 ¾ inches long, and weighs eight pounds and eight ounces.

The infant was born early Thursday morning.

Hargrove was last seen walking south on Jackson Street, away from the hospital.
