Police are still trying to clear up one shooting and have arrested a suspect in a second shooting that happened in Monroe Wednesday that left one man dead.
Police have charged Leophus Reed, Jr. of 125 Stacy Blvd, with attempted second degree murder in connection with a shooting incident at the Parkview Apartments. He was also charged with possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
Police say that Reed shot an unnamed suspect in the left side of the chest with a 9mm pistol. The police report said the gunshot required medical attention and life saving measures.
