Monroe’s new interim police chief says he plans to make life miserable for criminals in the next few months as the city recruits more officers, and increases arrests for drugs and guns in the city.
Victor Zordan was presented to the public as the Mayor’s nominee for police chief at a press conference, Wednesday. Zordan, a 27-year law enforcement veteran, was named from a list of applicants handpicked by a special three-man committee composed of Jimmie Bryant, John Jones, and Chief Eugene Ellis.
No city council members were privy to the decision, but they will be asked to confirm Zordan’s appointment as soon as next week.
