Murder wave continues, three dead in five days

The Monroe community continues to reel in anguish in the aftermath of a growing wave of violence, assaults, and murders continue.

Although the Ellis Administration keeps reporting that violent crimes are on the decline, his reports are not squaring with the reality that South Monroe residents face every day. The murders are continuing one after another, and the growing problem is not acknowledged by the city government, except when shots are fired at police officers.

  Since Saturday, at least three more young people have died in shootings in the Monroe community in the aftermath…
