Mt. Calvary Baptist Church family said goodbye to mother. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. Glenn Walter McKinney, Sr. spoke the last words.

Ida Mae Robinson was the daughter of Jim Robinson and Viarnice Singleton. She was born October 27, 1932, in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Ida was baptized at Cuba Baptist Church by Pastor R. N. Teats. She attended Augusta Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of John Alexander in Winnsboro, LA. After the death of Ida’s mother, she was raised by the Grands Berry family.
Ida attended Grambling State University for 2 years, afterward, she married William Robinson. Mrs. Ida Robinson operated Robinson’s Grocery for many years. She also worked at Lincoln Park Nursing Home and retired from the Monroe City School System.
Mother Robinson joined The Mount Calvary Baptist Church 61 years ago under the leadership of Pastor W. Mathis where she has been a faithful servant of the Lord. Mother lda Robinson served as an Usher, a Sunday School Teacher, on the Mother Board, and as The Pastors Aide.
On June 2. 2019 Mother Ida Robinson departed her earthly home. She was preceded in death by her husband William Robinson, Sr., and sister Dissie Jackson.
