Monroe police have booked a 38-year old man on charges that he had sex with a juvenile.
According to the Monroe Police Department, on April 27, 2021, they responded to LSU Oschner Hospital in Monroe regarding the incident.
Detectives say they were able to identify 38-year-old Michael Newsome of Monroe as the suspect. According to police, Newsome admitted to police that he had consensual sexual relations with a 14-year-old.
Newsome was arrested and booked in the Ouachita Correctional Center.
