5th Grade, Riser Elementary School
Hello friends, this is Julius. This week I’ll address school cookies, some interesting facts you probably didn’t know, some of the most popular sports, and Denerius Looney Jr.
Hard School Cookies
The reason I’m discussing school cookies is because they are very hard. These cookies are so hard that hitting them on the table sounds like a brick. When I say this, I’m not exaggerating, because when my friends and I got together, we decided to test it out. When we did, we all burst out in laughter because it sounded like a brick. I like how my teacher described it. She said, “You could kill a cat with those cookies.”
Did you know?
Here are some things that you might not have known. First off, your body can go up to three whole weeks without eating, but you can only go for three to five days without water. This is because your body is pretty much full of water, so without it, you cannot function correctly. The longest a person can run is 350 miles; that is a long way. The person capable of this is none other than Dean Karnazez.
Most popular sports
Today, if you ask any children about their favorite sport, you’ll hear mainly football or basketball. I know this because these were the most popular responses I heard when asked in a group. I also got some soccer and some baseball responses. These were the people I asked, but what’s your favorite sport? Personally, baseball and basketball are my favorite sports. I am very good at them.

Denerius Looney Jr.

This photograph shows Denerius Looney Jr., who was born on a summer day to Sherry Page and Denerius Looney Sr. on June 27, 2010. Denarius attends Minnie Ruffin Elementary School in the sixth grade. When his head is not hitting the books, Denerius is practicing his talent in sports. This young man will one day be someone famous, so look at his face and remember his name, this is Denerius Looney Jr.
That’s it for this week. Until next time, have a blessed week.
