Hawkins & Brass tie the knot

Courtnei Brass, the daughter of Van and Sylvia Brass of Monroe, was married to Roy Hawkins, Jr. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. The best men were Clifford Hawkins and Marlon Provo. The Matron of Honor was Ashlei Brass Turner.

The Bridesmaids included: Terri Edwards, Nicole Jackson, LeoResa Logan, Myya Magee, Cerise Martin, and Tanoa Square. The Groomsmen included: Eric Anderson, Mark Barnes, Van H. Brass, II, Marlon Broussard, and David Charles. The junior bridesmaid was Jaden Eva Magee.

The Flower Girls were Harper Martin, Madison Martin, Victoria Smith, Parker Williams, and Allison White. The bible and ring bearer were Kenneth Brass, III and Adam Square. Musical selections were rendered by Violinist Alice Fautheree, Pianist Terrance Smith, and Soloist Carolyn Armand. Father Adrian Fischer was the officiant at the ceremony.

The reception was held at the Monroe Civic Center in the B.D. Robinson Conference Hall. Bret Smith provided live entertainment and Robert Johnson was the DJ. Catering was provided by Douzart’s Catering and the wedding cakes were provided by Cakes by Lawanda.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of Southern University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Courtnei is a STEM Coordinator for the Fort Bend Independent School District and Roy is a Dedicated Pricing Analyst for Swift Transportation. The couple resides in Houston, TX.
