Services for Clarence Sharp, a longtime community leader and former member of the Monroe City School Board, will be held Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Word Church.
Mr. Sharp, who represented District 4 on the Monroe City School Board over a decade ago, was known as an independent thinker and a strong advocate for educational equity.
Throughout his tenure, he consistently voiced unapologetic support for Carroll High School, often standing alone in his convictions but never wavering in his dedication to the students and families of his district.
Mr. Sharp’s passionate defense of Carroll High School earned him both admiration and respect from many in the community who saw him as a champion for underserved schools.
Clarence Sharp leaves behind a record of advocacy, leadership, and fearless representation. His voice will be missed, but his impact will be remembered.
