Former Mayoral candidate arrested for breaking car windows

A former candidate for Monroe Mayor was arrested recently on multiple charges of damage to property.

According to police reports, Tremaine Gordon, of 2504 Coolidge, was arrested on April 4th after his father called police complaining that Gordan was moving through the neighborhood breaking out windows on automobiles.

Police tracked down Gordon in the 2400 Block of Desiard Street. Gordon told police that he broke out the windows in the cars because residents did not answer the door when he knocked. He was arrested at 5:25 a.m.

The total estimated damage, according to the report, was $2,500.

Gordon was a candidate for Mayor of Monroe in the 2016 election
