A COVID-19 vaccine trial is happening in Monroe and residents can help find a vaccine for the coronavirus and earn $700 at the same time.
The Monroe area is set to receive 1,500 doses beginning this month for the AstraZeneca trial. There are two parts to the vaccine with injections made one month part. The trial will allow nearly 67% of participants to receive live vaccine, with the rest will receive a placebo. Typically, trials like these have a 50-50 placebo rate. Over 30,000 people nationally have participated in Phase III of this trail.
