Just over a year ago, Carroll High School Principal Dr. Eric Davis told his faculty that rumors that he was scouting new work opportunities were false. Tuesday, in a special mandatory faculty meeting, Dr. Davis announced that he would be retiring as principal of Carroll High School effective June 30.
In 2022, a post bearing Dr. Davis’ photo and credentials appeared on a social media site used by educators. The post said, “Hi everyone, I am looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer.” It was followed by the hashtag #openToWork. The post also noted that he is “looking for Principal roles.”
