Brenda Wade, a well known civic leader in the Monroe community, was a surprise graduate at the recent Grambling State University graduation exercises.
Wade, enrolled at GSU initially to learn grant writing but found that she had enough to get a four-year degree as well with a few more classes. Wade now has a B.S. in Biology along with her new grant writing skills.
