Since the end of the Civil Rights era, African Americans have continued to achieve greatness and contribute to both their race and their country. February is Black History Month. This month is memorable, as we reflect on Outstanding African- Americans who have made positive contributions to our society.
As we go through life, we often meet people who make lasting impressions upon us. The magnitude of their service is just impossible to describe. How can I define the qualities of this outstanding hero? She is a powerful and supportive leader in our city. Our honoree is best described as the most unusual, kind, loving, patient, friendly, understanding, visionary, leader and community trailblazer. She is truly an ideal example of a “True Christian.”
