An employee of a local finance company proved he knew how to make loans, except the loans he made were fake and have landed him in jail.

Criterryis Burton, of 1912 Cagle Drive, was jailed Monday for felony theft after the manager of Time Finance discovered that Burton between September 10, 2018 and October 13, 2018 reportedly process eleven fake loans and processed them for a total of $4,115.00.

Burton admitted creating the fake loans when approached by the police. He admitted translating the loans in cash stolen from the finance company.

The paperwork for the loans left a clear paper trail that tracked back to Burton and now followed him to the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center.
