Dr. Carter G. Woodson (American Historian) said, “Real education means to inspire people to live more abundantly, to learn to begin with life as they find it and make it better.” Education has the power to create opportunities for the poor and the rich. It gives hope to the hopeless. We all have the right to a good education. Education has the ability to turn a poor person into a rich person. The smartest people in the world are always asking questions. Great leaders are always asking questions. They are lifelong learners.
Benjamin Franklin said, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” Today, the best anti-poverty program is a good education. It is important to have a thirst and a hunger for knowledge. We must learn something every day. We must develop a passion for learning. If you do this, you will never stop growing. We should always learn more than is expected. Remember, you are smarter than you think.
