A woman has been arrested for apparently stalking and ramming the car of her boyfriend. She said she wanted a car seat; he said she’d been stalking him.
Police arrested Jokendra Cherelle Smith, known as “KeKe” and charged her with reckless operation of a vehicle on Wednesday, January 22nd.
According to the police report, Ouachita Parish Sheriff deputies received multiple calls about a woman driving a Gray Dodge Charger that was chasing and ramming a silver Hyundai Sonata.
The woman identified herself as Smith and told deputies that she chased the child’s father because she wanted him to stop so she could get a car seat of his vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle said he pulled to the side of the roadway to turn around, and Smith hit him on the side of his vehicle.
He told deputies that Smith had been chasing him all around town for “unknown reasons.” He said he was driving on the roadway beside the convenience store when Smith drove up beside him and rammed the side of his vehicle.
In addition to the reckless operation charge, she was also charged with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
