This week in 2012 Rev. Rodney McMcfarland warned that a planned takeover of Neville High School as a charter, led by Susan Weaver with Brent Vidrine as its principal, could be the handwriting on the wall for black students. He felt it was a reaction to the leadership of Kathleen Harris, the black superintendent. He urged Board President Verbon Muhammad to support her or the Neville Charter plan would go through.
