April 26th marked the 16th Annual Appreciation for the Pastor and First Lady of Faith Harvest Baptist Church, Reverend, and Sister James Earl Jackson, Sr.
Members of Faith Harvest have been gearing up to have a large celebration service at their location on Nutland Road. Due to the current Covid-19 Stay-At-Home Order, onsite church events had to be placed on hold, but the passionate gratitude that the Faith Harvest Baptist Church members have for their pastor and first lady echoes the mighty power of love and goes beyond the walls of their sanctuary!
With less than a three-hour notice, over 60 church members and Mayor Jamie Mayo surprised Rev. Jackson and his wife with a mini parade that rolled right in front of their home. Rev. Jackson was hippopotamus happy as he yelled out, “you all caught me in my house shoes.” In a thank you text to his membership, Rev. Jackson noted that “even in times like these, the following remains true [for]each of [my members]: ‘for the people worked with all their hearts’ (Nehemiah 4:6 NIV).
The members of Faith Harvest Baptist Church and the entire City of Monroe community thank Rev. and Sister Jackson for their faithfulness, generosity, kindness, and servant-spirits. To God be the glory for the things He has done!
