Scripture: Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones (Prov. 16:24). A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver (Prov. 25:11).
My Dear Friends,
One of the nicest gifts one can is the gift of spoken pleasant words in a time of need. Amazingly, individuals do not know that the pleasant words they speak are truly needed at that time. When pleasant words are rendered through a caring tongue or written communication, the heart is made glad. There is a great demand for Christian believers to share kind words with one another as well as to those persons who are not walking in agreement with us.
Undoubtedly, when love ones are hurt, express kindness through pleasurable words of comfort. When you encounter the broken hearted and persons who are in need of an uplifting, speak pleasant words and their heart will smile. Not only will encouraging and nice words conveyed or written help others, they will benefit you, also.
While I was writing this message, my 15-year-old daughter inquired about the contents of this article. I explained to her that I (with Gods help) am writing about speaking Pleasant Words to individuals rather than words of hurt. She picked up my pen and notebook and wrote the following words: Dear Mama, I really admire what you are doing for the Lord. I love the fact that no matter how many obstacles stand in your way, you keep going. The Lord is going to bless you tremendously one day. All of the blessings you are receiving today wont compare to the huge blessings coming your way. I Love You! Wow! I did not expect those words. They were definitely sweet to my soul.
The aforementioned text gives a practical insight into how pleasant words are health to our bones and apples of gold in pictures of silver. We should be committed to choosing words that are meant for healing hearts rather than words that demean the hearts. In essence, we should choose our words with care. The most pleasant words you can share with individuals are the words of invitation to Jesus Christ, His death, burial and resurrection. Thank God for His Pleasant WORD!
