Sorority celebrates 113th Founders’ Day

Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated was founded on the principle of service to all mankind. On February 27, 2021, members of Omicron Iota Omega Chapter celebrated their legacy and honored community members who demonstrate service in their everyday careers.

In spite of the pandemic, these ladies made sure the tradition of Founders’ Day continued, by communing virtually, and in the spirit of togetherness. The program consisted of CAMEO (Community, Arts, Medicine, Education, and Organization) service awards, a celebration of life of former chapter member, and honoring members who have served Alpha Kappa Alpha for 25 and 65 years.
