Mrs. Barbara Reed wife and confidant of the late Herbert Reed who preceded her in death, was called home to paradise on early Sunday morning October 27, 2019.
She is survived by her son’s Mark and Eric Reed, and her extended son Vincent Cann. She is also survived by 5 sisters and 2 brothers, and a host of grand, great grands, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Mrs. Reed attended Southern and North East Universities. She became a well known successful and prominent businesswoman with her late husband. She continued the business that she and her husband started after his death for another 26 years.
She will be sincerely missed by her family, friends, business community and a host of loved ones and associates. Gone but she lives on in our hearts and minds for those who are blessed to know and known her.
Service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 09, 2019 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Monroe, LA. Visitation is from 1:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Richwood Memorial Gardens, Richwood, LA under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
