Services held for Angelia Anderson, 49

Funeral services for Angelia Anderson were held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2430 Winnsboro Road.

Ms. Anderson, affectionately known as “Angie” to friends and family and “MiMi” to her beloved grandchildren, passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 49.

Born on June 26, 1974, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Mary and Osee Anderson, Sr., Angelia’s early years were marked by her baptism at Union Hill Baptist Church by the late Reverend Roosevelt Everfield, symbolizing her lifelong commitment to her faith.

Angelia’s educational journey began at Little Flower and culminated in her graduation from Ouachita High School. Her career took her to Hot Springs, Arkansas, in 2013, where she worked for Accent Marketing before moving to Advanced Interventional Pain Management and eventually Ensemble Health Partners. Angelia’s time in Arkansas was enriched by the deep friendships she formed, a testament to her warm and inclusive spirit.

Known for her radiant heart and infectious laughter, Angelia had the unique gift of brightening the gloomiest of days. As “MiMi,” her grandchildren were the recipients of her boundless love and generosity. Angelia embodied honesty and bravery, facing life’s challenges head-on while maintaining her role as a nurturing mother, a devout believer, and a cherished grandmother.

Beyond her immediate family, Angelia extended her care and support to many, providing comfort and guidance with a sincerity that touched all who knew her. Her legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering support, leaving an indelible mark on her family, friends, and community.

Angelia is survived by her loving mother, Mary Anderson; her children, Cordarrius, Vonjarius, and Elizabeth Anderson; her grandchildren, Cordlund, Stormi, Kyro, and Kruz; her siblings, Aisha Jones, Amy Shirley-Muhammad, James Bertrand, Osee Anderson, Jr., Jason Anderson, Jean Anderson, and Hal Anderson; and a vast circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Eddie Rice, Jr.; her father, Osee Anderson, Sr.; and her sister, Charmaine Collins.

Angelia’s life was a testament to the power of unconditional love and resilience. As we gather to remember her, we celebrate the profound impact she had on every life she touched. Her spirit and love will forever live on within us.
