Scripture: In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, 3And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying… (Isaiah 38:1-6).
My Christian Friends,
As Christian believers, we have the greatest blessing, if we use it, when we have been delivered bad news-that is the ability to petition our Father for what we need and our hearts desire knowing that He hears us. When the doctors have walked away while shaking their heads, we have a God who is waiting on us to come to Him in sincerity. When we do not know which direction we should travel or which way to turn, God is right there waiting to respond to our prayers.
There are times when God’s response is not what we want at times, but there are times when He responds to our prayers with the results of what we prayed for or asked of Him. As we recall moments when God heard and answered our prayers, we must realize that He knows what is best for us even if His answer is “NO or “WAIT”.
Have you ever asked God for a radical change from something or to something? Have you needed Him to respond immediately on your, a family member or friend’s behalf and He responded instantly with results you requested? Throughout the Bible, the prayers of individuals have proven results. As Christian Believers, we can also testify that our prayers have proven results.
In the noted text, it is quite amazing how God answered the prayer of Hezekiah immediately with promising results. Interestingly, when God instructed the prophet, Isaiah, to tell him to get his house in order because he will die, Hezekiah prays to God, and God answers immediately by adding fifteen years to his life. Knowing that prayers have proven results, this should compel us to take all our concerns and issues to God in prayer. Do not solicit other’s solutions and answers to your situations or problems; instead, pray to God. As Hezekiah did when he received the news of his upcoming demise, we must “turn our heads to the wall and pray”, also. Whatever it is that we desire or yearn to happen or not happen in our lives, we must pray to “Our Father, which art in Heaven.”
Beloved, “Prayers to our Father in heaven have proven results!”
