Minister Louise Willis, 94 yrs old transitioned from this earthy home on Friday, May 29, 2020, at St Francis Medical Center.

Louise was born on October 26, 1925, to the late Tillman and Luella Williams in Downsville, LA.

Louise was married to the late Roosevelt Willis, Sr. They were blessed with 8 children. The 2 oldest children preceded her in death; Patsy Collins and Roosevelt Willis, JR.

Louise confessed Christ at a very early age at the Logtown Baptist Church located in Fondale, LA under the leadership of the late Pastor BJ Washington. She still remains at the Logtown BC under leadership of Pastor James Handie, Sr where she remained faithful until death.

Her mission in life was to a beacon light on the battlefield for her Lord as she nurtured, mentored, listening with love, and without judgment.

She constantly instilled so many values in not only her children but the community and everyone she encountered. One of her main accomplishment in life was to make sure her 8 children and each generation had a solid foundation- A Relationship with God!

She leaves to cherish her memories, six remaining siblings- Evelene Willis Lewis; Betty Willis Robinson (Andrew); Charles Willis; Bessie Willis, James Earl Willis; Ernestine Willis Givens (the late Pastor Billy Ray); sister, Della Mosley East Chicago, Indiana and brother, Louis Williams; Hammond, Indiana; daughter-in-law Thelma Willis. Also, her legacy consists of five generations- Mom, eight children, 35 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 41 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and several who lives she touched.

Mommy, Mama, and granny will be missed tremendously but she will live in our hearts and memories forever.

She truly was a Proverbs 31:28-29 woman- yes her children rise up and call her blessed… many women have done excellently, but Mother/Granny you surpass them all.” We love you!!!
