…And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever… And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10?-?15 KJV).
Dear Lord our heavenly Father,
This child of yours is very disturbed over the lack of teaching and preaching that “hell is real”. During my younger days, we were taught that disobedience to you landed a person in jail and eventually hell, if we did not change our sinful ways. As you know, older family members, neighbors, teachers, preachers, the elderly, etc., were allowed to chastise us if we were doing and saying wrong things without family or judicial reprimands.
In fact, if they reported our misbehaviors and measures they took to chastise us, we were chastised again at home and most times we received worse punishments. We were taught to kneel beside our beds and say our prayers, with the main prayer being, “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, if I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Amen.”As we grew older, our prayers gravitated to “The Lord’s Prayer” (Matthew 6:9-15).
Now-a-days, people eat, sleep, walk and talk to the “beat” of their cell phones. They do almost everything they have to do by clutching them in one hand and trying to do whatever else has to be done with the other.
During church services, this writer has told children to put them away, especially during the pastor’s sermons. Some were obedient and others ignored the requests. Some adult members are guilty of being engrossed in their’s, also, not knowing that their blatant disregard for your word is easily detected by you and others which serves as a bad example for your children. What they do not realize is that you have sent some of your messages to your people by the pastor. If they do not adhere to them, they will become candidates for hell.
According to our text for this message and other biblical passages, “hell is real”.
We are assured that “hell is real” and our people should be made aware of the danger of going there. Their tenure there is forever! Probations will not be considered for release from hell.
Lord, please guide your servants to preach and teach that “hell is real”.
In Jesus name this prayer is offered.
Love, Jacquelyn Simmons
P.S. Scriptures attesting to “hell is real” may be found on their cell phones, also.
Thank you for hearing my prayer.
