Let nothing or no one overtake your confidence in Jesus!

Scripture Reading: “Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
(Matthew 11:2-6, KJV)

Have you ever come across a message or information that made you question your faith in Jesus Christ? What do you do when you encounter teachings that completely contradict what you have always believed about His death and resurrection? Sadly, there are people today-both online and in person, who make it their mission to cast doubt on the truth of the Gospel.

We live in a time where access to information is just a tap away. But not everything labeled “Christian” or “Bible-based” is grounded in truth, Jesus Truth. That is why spiritual discernment is more important than ever, especially when it comes to the apps and content, we download to help us grow in our faith.
I love Bible trivia, so naturally, I downloaded a popular “Christian” trivia app that claimed to evaluate Bible knowledge. At first, it seemed like a fun and educational tool. But as I became engaged int in the trivia questions, I noticed something unsettling: the questions and answers were subtly twisting Scripture and undermining the message of Jesus Christ. Of course, I deleted the app immediately. But it made me think; what about those who do not study the Bible or truly know who Jesus is? They might be led astray by the rhetoric that is presented in this supposedly biblical education tool. This experience reminded me just how easily doubt can creep in when we are not rooted in the truth. But we must never let misinformation, misrepresentation, or momentary confusion shake our faith.

John the Baptist himself experienced a moment of doubt. From prison, he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are You the One, or should we look for another?” Jesus did not scold John. Instead, He pointed to the undeniable evidence: the blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news preached to them. These signs confirmed who He was and still is today.
When doubt comes, whether through hardship, questions, or misleading information-look again at the evidence. Jesus is still healing. He is still saving. He is still the One.

“Let nothing and no one overtake your confidence in Him.”
