Johnson, Vidrine at odds over Davis appointment

“If that’s the way he wants to play, then let’s play, “ were the angry words of school board member Brandon Johnson after he learned that superintendent Brent Vidrine had named Eric Davis as principal of Carroll High School.

Vidrine confirmed Tuesday that he had moved Davis, who is principal of Wossman High School, to Carroll High School.

Johnson who has often been criticized for his loyal support of Vidrine, said Wednesday that he was not consulted about the wisdom of moving Davis from Wossman and “I am very angry. I’ve been bombarded by calls from parents and alumni. They are upset and so am I,” said Johnson.
