I want to share my experience of Covid-19.
At first, I never knew or even suspected it since I wasn’t having any symptoms. Until my family and I got tested and oh woe is me I tested positive. My mother and brother were negative.
I was immediately escorted to my room and then the door was closed shut. It wasn’t until then that I realized how weird it was to have my door closed, have my mom come in every now and then to leave things on the floor for me to come and get. I got used to it in the beginning.
Everyone was going about their day while I was idle in my room either writing books or trying to find something to watch on tv. I learned something new: I don’t like TV as much as I thought I would. So what did I do then? Absolutely nothing, I mean unless you count staring at a wall as something, then yeah nothing. Thursday I unlocked crafty skills and got to know my fingers better, I finger knitted a blanket and you can only imagine how proud I was when I finished it Saturday.
Sunday, I was losing hope of ever getting well. There was this pizza from little Caesars that I had wanted to try with my mom and my brother, but you can’t do that when you’re positive. So instead of being patient and eventually overthinking every worst case scenario.
I texted my mom if we could have the batman pizza (later turned out to be called the Batman Calzone). It tasted good although I was disappointed when I didn’t have any more of the calzone parts. That same night I wrote a book with an ant as the main character. I also started watching a youtuber that goes by the name of CoryxKenshin. If you’ve seen his video where he faced off with Monty from the new Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach then you know the replay he did when he defeated the gator. You should check him out, he’s kid friendly.
As of now I’ve started going to school virtually and getting tested twice a week. I can’t say my experience is the same as others who may have had it worse. But at the same time you can’t believe that the vaccine and boosters will keep you Covid free, I’m living proof of that. I had all three shots and I still caught the pathogen.
I wore my mask at all times as well but I guess this disease is just inevitable.
Who knows when it stops but until then, stay clean and keep your hygiene routines up. For all you know when you’re at stores, someone’s positive and then it gets into your bubble.
Sure you don’t know if it’s there or not but still the first thing you should do is take a shower/bath because of the germs.
I hope you guys stay safe and Covid free, it’s a different world nowadays but it will “probably” go back to normal…..like a billion years from now.
Then we could all have a little skeleton dance, I’ll bring the pizza. Who is bringing the soda and cookies?
