Hard work pays off

By Rusty Potter

Michael Phelps (Who holds the all-time record for Olympic gold medals) said, “If you want to be the best, you have to do the things that others are not willing to do.” Hard work and dedication will carry you far in life. Luck can be predictable; the harder you work, the luckier you get.

I remember, waking up at 4 am to run in the neighborhood for a marathon. A moonlight run would turn into a sunrise rise run. I have completed 4 marathons. Skill is achieved by hours and hours of practice. Work hard and dedicate yourself to being better every single day. Believe in yourself. You were created to be successful. Just because your past did not turn out as you wanted it to, does not mean your future can’t be far better. The harder you work for something, the greater you will feel when you achieve it. Never just dream for success, but work for it. Remember, someone has to be the best why, not you.
