Gregory I. Bishop sunrise August 14, 1955, and sunset November 9, 2019. He was known as Deacon, Father, Husband, Greg, Daddy, brother, Izear, Honey, Papa, and friend. MSGT Gregory Bishop retired from the United States Air Force in 1997 (27 years of service). Graduate from Carroll High School – Class of 1973. G reg and Carolyn made their home in Ocean Springs, MS.“
He leaves to cherish his memory, His wife Carolyn; two daughters, Monica (Darrick) Ft Worth, TX; Sherrika, of Ocean Springs, MS and two sons Elijuah (Krystal), of AK; and Gregory, Jr.(Sp), FL.“Izear leaves the following siblings his five brothers/ two sisters: Brothers- Frank (Annie) Dickson, TX; Lee Bunn (Wanda) Higgins; Earl Shields; Tharris Bishop of Monroe, LA; Gary (Lola) Bishop, of Oklahoma and two sisters: Dianne (Willie) Bell and Sherilyn (Gregory) Benjamin both of Oklahoma. He leaves a host of grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephew, and relatives and friends.
Homegoing celebration service will be Thursday, November 21, 2019, in Ocean Springs, MS. Final visitations will be at Smith Funeral home in Monroe, La on Friday, November 22, 2019. Interment at Richwood Memorial Gardens at 1 pm.
