When you are weak or feeble, “God will arm you with His strength”. Our only way to fight against our frailties and weaknesses is to open the Word of God and read what He says about His strength and how He strengthens those who trust in Him.
It compels us to read what the Word of God speaks to those of us who need strength and encouragement. So, the Word of God reads on this wise:
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
“But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.” (Psalm 37:39)
“I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” (Psalm 18:1-2)
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.” (Psalm 28:7-8)
“The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11)
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)
“It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.” (Psalm 18:32)
“Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” (Psalm 73:24-26)
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:28-31)
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesian 6:10).
