God is the true source of wisdom

Scripture Reading: “Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: … He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: … I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter” (Daniel 2:19–20, 21b, 23 KJV).

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I salute you in the only name that matters- that Name is-Jesus who is our Christ (Messiah). I thank God for sending His Son to redeem us from our sins our Everlasting, Eternal, and Endless Savior.

The Omniscient (all-knowing) God is the one who gives wisdom to those who seek it. When faced with challenges, individuals are guilty of looking for answers from friends, relatives, or anyone who will listen. Oftentimes, we seek wisdom in places where it cannot be found. So, before I go deeper into today’s message, let it be clearly noted and stated: “God is the true source of wisdom.” In other words, wisdom comes from God. The writer of Proverbs declares, “For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6, KJV).

Today’s Scripture shows Daniel praising and thanking God for revealing the “deep and secret things.” Daniel prayed for a revelation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Interestingly, the king could not even recall the contents of the dream. Because his wise men failed to reveal and interpret it, the king became agitated and issued a decree to destroy all the wise men of Babylon, including Daniel and his companions.

In the midst of chaos and fear, Daniel respectfully inquired about the king’s urgent decree. Trusting fully in God, Daniel asked for time, knowing that God, who is the source of all wisdom, would reveal the dream and make know the secret things. That night, God answered. In a vision, Daniel received the interpretation. In response, he worshiped and thanked the God of heaven for His wisdom and mercy.
Daniel understood what we must all embrace-God is the source of true wisdom. When we depend entirely on Him, as Daniel did, God will make His wisdom available to us.

God knows all! Because He knew we needed a Redeemer for our sins, He sent His Son, His Love, His Beauty, His Peace, and His Wisdom – Jesus Christ.

So, the next time you are need of answers, seek God for wisdom. He is the true source.

Jesus Saves!
