Wake him up!
My Christian Friends,
Primarily, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, it is a blessing to be able to come to you by way of this publication. Just for point of reference, I do not take it lightly or for granted, this outstanding opportunity that God has afforded me to share with you what He has placed on my heart. Truly, I am grateful to Him and the founder of this publication for allowing me a chance to express God-given thoughts.
In addition, our title for this message comes out of concern and unease for individuals who may be going through storms in their lives. Of course, you and I have witnessed the entire world suffer through various storms that seem to form and wreak havoc during it tenure in our nations. In fact, there has been one storm after another during this unforgettable 2020 year. These storms have raged and appeared to be intense in ways that we did not know what they entailed. I am reminded of the storm that the gospel writers, Matthew, Mark and Luke penned during Jesus’ ministry. During this event,
Jesus calms a raging storm.
Let’s read Mark’s account: And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side… And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? (Mark 4:35-41).
When fear and doubt is present in your hearts and mind, wake Jesus up. He will take care of you. It is not that he will not help calm the storm, but we must wake Him up in our lives while asking Him to calm our storms in our lives. While the tempest is raging, Jesus can and will calm the raging problems in our lives. Do you believe that He can calm a raging storm? Do you have faith that He will take care of your storm? Well, wake Him up and see. Give Him a chance in your life.
